the best web design group ever

Congratulations to Julie Waters

April 1, 2010
Julie Waters is the founder of the organization Free the Captives, an anti human trafficking group based in Houston, Texas.  She and I worked together to develop a simple and clear website for her organization.  We used very little imagery and established a clean professional look, while still maintaining a human connection.  This website represents a tough topic where information is key.

Julie and I also worked on a short video presentation that explains the pressing need for local and international action against human traffickers.  The 6 minute clip also quickly introduces both Free the Captives and Julie Waters.

Congratulations to LeighMcLeroy.com

Best wishes actually go to Leigh McLeroy of LeighMcLeroy.com, but I think the connection is pretty clear.  Leigh authors books about personally connecting with God.  She speaks at retreats and other events and has interesting interviews about her work that we posted as well.

She also maintains a website that dwells on discovering His presence in everyday and in special moments. The site is called WednesdayWords.com as the associated e-newsletter is always sent out on Wednesdays.  We worked on the color scheme and created a new header for her longstanding blog site to meld it with her new look.

Interested in protecting her dear personal friends and family from the effects of her fame, or at least interested in not mixing the two groups indiscriminately, we established a Facebook Fan page for Leigh.  It provides a great venue for readers to voice their encouragement for her thoughtful writing.  And she's active in contributing more of the same witty writing at the page.

Best Wishes to Bob Thomas

February 1, 2010
Bob Thomas is a candidate for 270th Civil District Court Judge in the upcoming Democratic primary. Please check out his website at bobthomasforjudge.com and look over Bob's credentials and endorsements.

I love the footer design because it's an adaptation of his campaign logo.  A man with two careers, Bob served on the HPD police force prior to attending law school, I like being able to use his sergeant's badge in the second logo.

Truly, best wishes to Bob Thomas and family as they hit the campaign trail!

I have just wrapped up some maintenance work on Alloy Metals and Tubes International that was built in collaboration with John Magee Design.

Just like John Magee's design company, Alloy Metals and Tubes International is a family owned and family run business with a focus on polished & professional client centric interaction.  These are people who deeply care for their clients.  The quality of their work and interactions complement their friendly way of doing business.

Alloy Metals and Tubes International source tube, pipe, flange and fitting needs around the world.  They free up their clients to focus on their own businesses and can handle supply chain needs from sourcing, machining, heat treating, testing, inventory control, to packing and shipping.

It has been a nice two years of work creating, optimizing and performing routine maintenance on the alloy-metals.com site, I wish them the best for the future.

Congratulations to Paths in Healing

Tim Janak Sr. and Tim Janak Jr. give ridiculous massages.  And it's because they understand how the human body moves (or in the case of my poor shoulders, don't move). And they love what they do.  So, go see them!  And learn more about their massage company, Paths in Healing, by clicking here.
